On Sunday June 4th in between the Vicenza city center and the Caldogno area, a young couple passionate about medicinal and aromatic herbs grows with love lavender fields.

For this special in-farm initiative, Mrs. Valentina of Il Lavandeto della Lobia proposes a sensorial experience with a "hands-on workshop" (suitable for the whole family too) to discover the lavender, its perfume and its properties.

DETAILED PROGRAM:

• 5:00 pm: Arrival at the farm and check-in/payment (meanwhile it will be possible to visit the adjacent cowshed of the Orna Farm).

• 5:20 pm: Brief presentation of this family rural reality (with "A" ESG ranking as a sustainable company) producing lavender and much more, in its fourth year of activity.

• 5:30 pm: Guided "sensorial" tour in the lavender field enjoying the beauty and scent of lavender in bloom as well as thyme, helichrysum and other aromatic plants (with tips about the use of those herbs for cooking).

• 6:00 pm Workshops/labs: Lavender Scented Sachet Making (for children and toddlers). Filling a fragrance bag with dried lavender flowers to give it then the shape of a country mouse. Tips about the use of dried lavender flowers for home care.

• 6:30 pm Lavender flowers harvest/picking: The collected flowers will be used for the following distillation demonstration (the extraction of the essential oil).

• 7:00 pm: Snack / Aperitif break with just partner farm products: tastings of pickled vegetables, eggplant and pumpkin cream; soppressa and raw ham with brown toast; tasting of parmesan and asiago DOP cheese accompanied by millefiori honey. All paired with a glass of wine or apple juice or water.

• 7:30 pm Farm products shop will be open: on display all the final products the Farm produces: natural products for well-being and cosmetics, room fragrances, perfumed objects and essential oils. All rigorously handcrafted.

 

The Farm provides:

7. Displacement to the place of meeting.

8. It is recommended to wear comfortable walking shoes (it is necessary to walk on the ground and it could be wet).

9. The facility is provided with accessible toilets.
